Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of https://hiservehub.com (the "marketing site") and https://app.hiservehub.com (the "app") operated by HiServe Hub ("we", "us", "our"). By using either site or creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use HiServe Hub. By using the app you confirm you meet these requirements.
2. Accounts & verification
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Artisans and sellers must complete identity verification (and, for sellers, business documentation) before being listed or transacting. We may approve, suspend, or remove listings and accounts based on verification outcomes or policy violations.
3. The service
HiServe Hub provides a marketplace for booking local services from artisans and shopping products from sellers. We facilitate listings, communication, and escrow-protected payment. We are not a party to the underlying service or sale between an artisan, a seller, and a customer, except as the escrow holder described below.
4. Escrow
When you make a payment through the app for a booking or an order, your payment is held in escrow and released to the artisan or seller only when you confirm completion, when an auto-release window passes without dispute, or when our dispute process directs it. In the case of a dispute, held funds allow us to refund you or release to the provider based on our review. The specific escrow window for each booking or order is shown at checkout. 5. Payments
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We receive payment metadata but do not store your full card details. Fees, if any, are disclosed at checkout before you authorize a payment. You authorize us to charge the displayed amount and to hold and release it under these Terms.
6. Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading information during verification, listing, or a transaction.
- List or sell counterfeit, illegal, or restricted goods, or offer services you cannot lawfully perform.
- Attempt to take a transaction off-platform to bypass escrow and platform protections.
- Misuse the platform to harass users, manipulate reviews, or circumvent verification.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to access data or systems you're not authorized for.
7. Disputes
If something goes wrong with a booking or an order, open a dispute in the app before funds are released. We review disputes using the transaction record and resolve them in good faith. Our decision on a held-escrow dispute is final with respect to the release of those funds.
8. Limitation of liability
HiServe Hub is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from the conduct of third-party artisans, sellers, or payment processors, except where required by applicable law (including for our own gross negligence or wilful misconduct).
9. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if verification cannot be confirmed, or to protect the platform and its users. You may stop using the app at any time and may request account deletion per our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in the updated date above and notified to active users. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Lagos, Nigeria.
